Zoë Griffiths qualified as a teacher in 2003 upon completing a PGCE at Roehampton. In addition to a BA Hons in Russian (Birmingham), she also holds a MA in TESOL (Institute of Education) and a double MA in Education from St Mary’s University. She completed her National Professional Qualification in Headship in 2012 and is currently completing an NPQ in Executive Leadership. Ms Griffiths has worked for STEP East Sussex since 2018, initially at Breakwater Academy which she led through a successful Ofsted inspection in 2019. She has conducted several academic research projects exploring educational leadership, and has been instrumental in establishing and developing the STEP leadership behaviours.
Having previously lived and worked abroad (Japan) and travelled extensively, she is passionate about the role of education in both broadening horizons and equipping children for their future. Her interest in all things global/international ranges from art and cuisine to cinema and languages.
