Special educational needs and disability (SEND) places a strong emphasis on setting suitable challenges for all pupils, stressing the importance of responding to pupils needs and overcoming potential barriers to learning for individuals and groups of pupils.
We also ensure as an academy, that pupils with SEND can not only access the curriculum but fully participate in it and achieve at appropriate levels.
We believe that all children at Telscombe Cliffs are special. We monitor the progress of each child regularly to ensure that we are meeting their needs.
If your child needs extra support to access part of the curriculum, we will design a Support Plan. The class teacher and Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) use this to record how we will support your child.
